Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party results provider. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. A message sent to us contains only what you choose to include, and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine hosting logs may include an IP address, browser type, page request, and timestamp. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to operate, secure, repair, measure, and improve the service. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Outside Websites
Links may lead to county or state portals, archives, library collections, or third-party search tools. Those providers control information submitted on their own services, including sponsored results, under their own policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process logs for the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is otherwise disclosed only when valid legal process requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information that we hold. Ohio Chapter 1347 governs state and local agency personal-information systems, but it does not control this private reference service or grant a general private-sector deletion right. Because we retain little, a request generally concerns the contact mailbox or routine logs. Use the Contact page. Requests concerning a public record held by an Ohio office must go to that record’s custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Changes will appear here when they take effect. Continued use after posting indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
